Richard Dent is a climate change communication and policy consultant working out of London. Currently researching new policy and communication pathways to a low carbon economy at University College London. Richard has worked on several high profile environmental social marketing campaigns. As co-director of 11th Hour Action, the campaign for Leonardo DiCaprio’s The 11th Hour, Richard helped re-define how social marketing can increase the impact of documentary film.
More recently Richard advised BBC World Service Trust on its climate change strategy. BBC World Service has the largest radio audience in the world at 183 million people and serves many developing countries. Richard wrote and produced Energy Union, the European Union’s youth awareness project on climate change and renewable energy. He is currently proposing new communication strategies to inform all sectors of society on the importance of climate change and mitigation policy.
